Walkable oasis

This charming, Grade II listed historic avenue is London’s unexpected, iconic and serene pedestrianised destination – perfectly placed to answer London’s need for safer, calmer and cleaner walkable streets.

Book-ended with Romanesque columns, it is now home to high quality dining, al fresco seating as well as ‘grab and go’ retailers connecting directly with Bloomsbury Square.

Established 1910

Evoking over a hundred years of art and literary culture, Sicilian Avenue's rich tapestry transports its dynamic community of residents, workers, students and tourists to another world.

Connect with history and Hollywood glamour

Bloomsbury has been home to famous laureates and poets, including Virginia Woolf and Mahatma Gandhi, as well as celebrities including Bob Marley and Ricky Gervais.

Scenes from the movies Wonder Woman and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society were filmed on Sicilian Avenue.

Scenes from Emmy award-winning Slow Horses are also being filmed on Sicilian Avenue.
